From Sunday, February 9th to Friday February 14th, I will be attending the Biblical Counseling Training Conference in Lafayette, IN. If you are interested in learning more, click on the picture, it’s linked to the conference website. This conference is a week of training sessions designed to equip pastors and church members alike to use the Word of God to help those who are suffering and struggling in the local church. I attended this conference last year for the first time, but because I was late in getting registered I had to take track 2 sessions. Technically, you are supposed to start in Track 1 and then move on to track 2 the next years and so on. So, this year I am taking the sessions in Track 1. If you are interested to see what the subjects that will be covered in Track 1, you can read them here: http://www.faithlafayette.org/uploads/Conferences/BCTC/2014/2014%20-%20Track%201.pdf. As an added bonus, this year I will be joined by Gary Doull from our church and Pastor Ryan King from Westville, NS. We’ll be rooming together throughout the conference. I also had an email from our former Youth Pastor, Dave Coats, who is going to be there too. Should be a great time of learning and fellowship. Remember to pray for me while I am gone, and check back here each day for updates from the conference.
